A Purposeful Preview: "The Castle That Never Forgets"

Hello fellow bookworms, and welcome to a Purposeful Preview!

While a slightly unusual deviation from what I usually write on my blog, I thought this would be the perfect introduction to The Castle That Never Forgets, a brand new release! This is a small project that I have, for the most part, kept a secret, but I am very excited to share one small part of it now. While this collection is short, it was a lot of fun and a little challenging!

Aversion

The rainwater was reminded to fall from the clouds, and so it fell, but not straight down. The water rode the wind that curved and drove some of the droplets to a roof, some to a river, some to a sidewalk, some to a road, some to the storm drain, some to a bird bath, some to buckets, some to flowerpots, and many to places where it kept rushing and running and slipping. Because the rainwater was reminded to fall from the clouds, it did not fall straight down.

The leaf was reminded to fall from the tree

when Autumn’s breath turned it a soft orange and red,

and so it fell, but not straight down.

The leaf joined its family that rode the wind that curved and drove

some of the leaves into pieces,

some to a lawn,

some to windows,

some to the ground,

some to windshields,

some to upturned faces,

some to lost things,

some to the bottoms of shoes,

and many to piles of leaves from other trees where they stayed

flat

and still.

Because the leaf was reminded to fall from the tree,

when Autumn’s breath turned it a soft orange and red,

it did not fall straight down.

I cannot wait for all of you to read "Aversion" and the rest of my collection in full! I will be promoting it here and on other outlets. While I am expecting this month, I have not received an estimated date as of yet. Keep your eyes open for The Castle That Never Forgets! Otherwise, happy reading, fellow bookworms!

My journey in the world of academic writing began with a deep-seated love for research and a desire to assist students in navigating the often challenging path of crafting their dissertations. As a diligent and detail-oriented individual, I understand the importance of a well-researched and well-written dissertation in shaping one's academic and professional future.

My professional background includes a solid foundation in English language and literature, which allows me to not only ensure the clarity and coherence of academic papers but also to infuse them with a captivating and engaging style. I firmly believe that effective communication is key to conveying complex ideas and research findings, and I strive to achieve this in every dissertation I work on.
